We welcome you — Toronto host chapter

We welcome you.

We are honoured that the global community has chosen Toronto, Canada as this year’s cultural capital. Our focus is simple: celebrate Portuguese culture and welcome our guests with warmth and dignity.

Executives & local host chapter

We are in the midst of our planning. We are finalizing the main dinner date — keeping tradition: the first Friday of the month. We are currently targeting October 2, pending confirmation.

A commemoration with global roots

This gathering marks the 53rd year since our organization began in Johannesburg — where I was born — giving this year personal meaning and connection.

This chapter’s previous President was my father, who has since passed away. Continuing this tradition with you is an honour.

Route

First hellos: Toronto → Kitchener

We plan to begin activities as we travel toward Niagara Falls, with a stop in Kitchener. There is a significant Portuguese community there — and a chapter — making it a natural first gathering point.
